Re: noise Sign In

Was there any recent repair work done before the noise appeared? Was the vehicle in an accident?

Without being there to hear the noise, can't really give you good advice on where to check.

It is possible it could be an engine mount. Have you inspected the engine mounts?

You could record the noise and upload it to a video hosting site and then paste the link in here. Maybe hearing the noise could give some ideas.

Re: noise Sign In

LMAO, DS - too funny and needed that today. OP (original poster) many noises are a belt driven item. If taking belt off for a quick test makes it go away find the problem part if so.

Motor mounts as DS suggested in the cards too of several possible things. If you don't know how to really check them one of us can explain how.

Other whacked noises can also be exhaust parts moving. The list is near endless and for a tech usually easy to isolate fast many times if right in front of them,

Re: noise Sign In

Hi im new here. and would also like to share my knowledge. I think one of the most to look at is the engine/transmission mount or support.. if you feel the engine vibration hard. you can ask for a help to a friend to shift it to first gear while steping on the brake. and the handbrake is up. if the engine really moves and pull hard. your front and back support maybe is worn out.

Hope it helps!
