hello!!

I have a 2001 Toyota Highlander, 4wd/6cyl, 130k mileage...

My questionn is, my car is making these strange clanging noises from below near tires every time I go over little pot holes or other bump in the road. I thought it was the struts but it wasn't that, I had them fixed. What else can it be?? Please help!

It sounds like something is obviously loose.... This really needs to be check out before you do any driving in case it's something serious.....

I had it checked and they couldn't find anything. I've driven the car around for a month and nothing has happened. What could it be???

From your description, something has to be obviously loose. With that being said somethings are real easy to find and other stuff is hidden and take a little bit of experience & know how to track down....

From here I could only guess since I can't see or drive the truck...internal shock failure, loose bracket bolt, cracked frame, loose cam bolt???

You said you took it to one place already so I'm going to assume this rules out the complete obvious where you just have to look and see the problem. You are going to have to find a different shop that is willing to look a bit harder at it. Since one place has already checked it out, it sounds like nothing is getting ready to fall off but the problem still needs to be found & fixed...
