rotating rubbing noise

my 91 subaru legacy, with 148000 miles ( front wheel drive, not AWL), makes a rotating (like a rock in the tire) rubbing noise from the left front wheel. Also, it appears that the left front tire may be wearing more than the others. I don't think it's alignment, I can drive straight with no hands on the wheel. the noise goes away after the car warms up, Also the warmer it is outside the less i hear the noise, it's louder when it's colder. thanks for the help.

List of possibilities: LOOSE WHEEL! Bearing CV joint Brake parts?? Anthing that rotates with the wheel Try swapping wheels around too to see if problem follows wheel + tire, T
