serpentine belt problem

Okay, I already know that the serpentine belt is part of my problem cause I can see it's loose when I look in the hood. I stared my car this morning and it shuttered because I didn't turn the key long enough, I heard a dropping noise. Next thing I know the thing is making a gurggling, ginding sorta noise and my powersteering is not doing it's thing. I have to put all my wieght on it to turn the car. So once around the block I parked it it smelled a little like......hot I guess not really burning rubber but close. Anyway I can see the damn belt loose but I can't tell how to get it back on the way it's suppose to. I was wondering if anyone could explain it to me vividly. I own a 1992 chevy cavalier

Go here and click on the belt routing guide for the engine size you have. It will also give the correct belt number. Look to see if the tensioner is binding causint the belt to become loose. http://www.mvreader.com/...amp;engine=All&l= Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
