If the spindle is stripped bad enough the nut will not hold the hub properly, the brakes will pulsate. If the threads will hold the nut at the proper torque, probably not. I would try machining or replacing the rotors and pads first. Of course this is just a SWAG from your information. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

I asked the dealer tech constantly. R u sure its not the rotors he said no. He showed me the thread. It was worn a bit. I asked the tech if he replaced the spindle hub and it still shakes afterwards ,where do we go from there? he said he would turn the rotors for free. My tires were very bad. i had him replace all 4 of those. So naturally the wheel still shakes when I hit the brakes even though they replaced the hub. It got 6% better, but who us to say it got better due to new tires or the new spindle? So now I have to take it back. I think they got over on me. But we will see what they say today when I take it back.

Just to add: You may be hurting your new tires and depending on what the heck happened it almost certainly will need a new one, T

From this experience I think ive learned that the stripped spindle thread caused the calipers to ruin my rotors which wore my old tires to shreads! So after new spindle hub, new rotors, new tires, & $1400 later my car rides like the day I bought her brand new.... Thanks for your insight
