I have a 1994 Saturn SL2, I purchased this car about 6 months ago knowning that it needed a top motor mount....... I replaced the top motor mount, now the car drives and feels alot better but I still have a tapping/rattling sound when I start it up, and when I come to complete stops................ When the car is in motion The sound goes away. And occasionally When I drive on the high-way for about 20-60 mins. and exit onto local traffic and stop the sounds goes away...........

Possibly the bad motor mount caused stress on the exhaust pipe and its parts like heat shields, flexable connection area and needs attention now. It may show up with tapping on exhaust pipe with a rubber hammer (cold engine off) and see it a rattle shows where it is,
