water pump noise Sign In

I have a 1999 ford windstar Lx 3.8 L engine that started making a grinding noise while inspecting it found the the axle shaft for water pump is rubbing against car frame, what could be the reason for this have checked motor mounts they are ok. What else could it have caused shaft to move so closem to frame, please help need your help

Are you sure it's the water pump and not the harmonic Balancer (Crankshaft pulley)?

Have you taken the belt off and checked for play in the water pump shaft? Maybe the water pump is coming apart.

I am sure its my pump you can see its rubbing the frame
