1996 Jeep Cherokee 5.2L. I had to replace a cracked head. After replacing I noticed a puffing sound coming from a part shaped like a coffee can by the head light. Does this have any thing to do with vacuum? Would it affect low idle RPM?

That is the vacuum cannister. It is a reserve for the vacuum. It keeps the heater doors in the proper position under hard acceleration. It can cause an idle problem due to losing vacuum and cause the vehicle to search for a stable idle. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
