1995 Miata Antenna Issue

I have a 1995 1.8L Miata with 90,000 mi and I recently installed a new CD player in the dash because the old one would not read CDs. I installed it using all the appropriate harnesses and adapters and didn't have to splice/connect any of the wires. After installation, the antenna will no longer rise when in radio format. I've installed a few CD players but never on a car with a retractable antenna. Does my CD player not have the command to make the antenna rise? I don't know the model of it, but it is made by Panasonic I believe.

I am guessing that the old CD player that was in there was the original p[layer from factory? It's a pain in the butt when replacing those. Yes, the old units control the retractable antenna and also sometimes "in dash" radio info. Once the old unit is gone, it no longer does any of that. I am sorry, but there is no way you can get the antenna retracting again unless you rig a mini motor to it with a power sens from your stereo. Or purchase a factory unit and put it in.
