I have a 1997 Chrysler Town and Country and am having problems with the radio. After I hook up the battery cables the radio works for about 15 minutes or so then quits working. All the other electronics work ok. If I stop and remove the battery cables and hook them back up the radio comes on again for a little bit. What gives?

Is this the stock radio? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Might need to pull the radio out and check for power and grounds while the radio is dead using a volt meter. When it cuts off check to see if your missing power and/or ground. If you have power and ground, more than likely there is a problem with the radio itself. Connector 1 Red/White wire....Ignition on 12 volts Pink wire......Hot all the time 12 volts Connector 4 Ground......should have close to .05 volts with radio operating. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

if you are going to pull the whole thing out, might as well purchase a new radio, something higher end than stock
