Hey guys,

First time using this forum, hopefully you guys are helpful. So this morning when I started my truck my radio didn't turn on. When the key is in the on position (not started) everything works fine. When I start the truck the radio screen goes blank and while my headlights still work, my bottom fog lights don't. The weird part is the LEDs behind the radio knobs are still on. Also when I hit the time button on the radio the time pops up for a few seconds and disappears, every button/knob on the radio is unresponsive except the time button. Any ideas? My first inclination was that the starter relay is bad.

Definitely a strange problem. The first thing you might do is check all of your fuses. If you have multimeter, you might also want to check all your voltages to make sure you are getting at least 10 volts.

Actually just finished checking all the fuses, no bad ones. Also tried disconnecting battery for 40+ minutes, nothing.

Need to take it to a shop that can interface the front control module and the radio to see if there are any trouble codes stored and to look at data stream information.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
