2006 Dodge Stratus - Installing Dash Speakers

I just spent an hour of my time and skin off my knuckles trying to install dashboard speakers in my 2006 Dodge Stratus. I didn't succeed.
I lifted the part of the panel up but when you get to the side of the panels it's somehow connected to the long pieces that runs inside along the window frame on both sides and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them loose so I can have access to the dash area underneath that front panel.
Anybody have any experience with how to do this?

Going off memory there should be a panel at the frt by the windshield that just pops out & exposes the factory speakers and you should be able to swap out the speakers...
If you're doing something that won't fit the factory holes & requires more work, more than likely you have to pull the dash, it's a complete assembly & comes out as a whole unit when servicing the HVAC box for any reason...
