Vehicle : 88' Chevrolet Silverado 1500 w/ 4WD Engine : It's a V8 5.0 or 5.7 liter Hey, I don't know much about vehicle repair, but I have an issue with my radio. It picks up only 5 or 6 stations, and the signal is very poor. Whenever the truck is actually running, it doesnt pick up any stations at all and it makes a very loud and obnoxious whirring noise. It is the original radio that came with the truck. What do I do to fix it or what do I need to buy?

Hey mate, Sounds like the antenna plug has come out of either the unit or your actual antenna. Check under the hood 1st at the place where the atenna is for any loose wires. If none, Take out your unit and look on the back. There will be a seperate wire to your harness. Make sure it is plugged in.
