Hi, I recently bought a car stereo from Halfords. It’s the KD-X241, it works perfectly but for some reason it keeps going into demo mode whenever I start the car and it won’t save the date and time when I set it. Anyone know how to fix? Thank you!

There are usually 2 power sources coming into the radio, one for operating the radio that is keyed and one that is constant for retained memory. If you make any more responses to this question, include the year, make, model and engine size. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just a though in addition to HT's saying this needs constant power also so two sources, one for memory. Not a geek with this crap or assorted stuff happened to me, another thing totally was a store demo. This whole company and biz lost it since was trying. Answer I found later is/was it had a pin hole (smaller than the most common paper clip) to push and hold. Wait............ and the demo mode storage was "pithed" or removed permanently was supposed to be done before it was sold and not a demo anymore. I think you have two issues if it was totally really new shouldn't have had that "demo" mode in it to begin with. I knew it when purchased and found that out later still have the thing/device, T
