Help, CD player is "Deadlocked" Sign In

Anyone have a clue how to fix a 2000 Sebring Convrt CD player that reads deadlocked? I'm sure its a piece of sand or something, but can't get the deck out. Don't want to break it either with a screwdriver, and can't afford trip to dealer. Thanks.
Got the face off and see that there is a CD stuck in the out position inside, so any clue how to get the center "leather" side panels off so that I don't mangle them? I think the one on the left is part of my driver's dash? This is gonna be a project....

Is your stereo a factory stereo, or an aftermarket stereo? I'm assuming it is a aftermarket stereo, since you said you got the face off. If the cd is stuck inside the stereo, then it is most likely a mechanism problem and you are better off buying a new stereo to replace it with. Stereos are much cheaper these days and is usually better to replace than trying to repair your old one.

To remove the stereo, you will need to remove the wood-like plastic bezel from around the stereo and air climate controls. It should be held in by 4 clips, two on each side, near the top and bottom. You will need something very flat to remove this with, a putty knife would be sufficient in doing this. Insert and just pry out, carefully do this, without forcing it. You don't want to break the bezel. After it comes out, you should see how the stereo is held in. It should be held in with 2 bolts, (I believe 10 mm).

It is the original to the car, and there are two bolts that hold it in, it kind of floats, I know that is the anti-skip thing going on. If I get the side bezels off, then I can get the stereo out and take it apart. It wants to work, and does play the discs, just one is jammed. Further thoughts?
