Hallo all Wink

I am a car audio installation guy and recently I have had been having trouble finding out color codes and schematics to newer cars and sometimes older ones too, basically I had been having luck before finding these via google quit easy but recently it has been a real pain in the " boombastic ".... anyway , i need to know , is there any way to identify these via a multimeter tester or maybe another device. I'll give you an example , I have a customer at the moment that wants an amp and sub hooked up to his factory stereo , ok no problem , i get the hi-low converter and connect up to the back of the radio to his speaker wires , BUT i dont know which is ( + or - ) or (left - right ) or ( front - back )...... Is there any way of finding out without ripping the door panels off the car???
The radio has no labels on it and he has not got the manual to the car. Maybe there is a website with a database of car wire schenmatics that repair places use, PLEASE HELP!!!

A subscription at Alldata will do all you ask. But a wiring adapter from WalMart beats cutting up factory wires and that sounds like what you are doing. Look in the posts that are in this section and see what has happened. Please don't be Sam.
