Hi, I have a kenwood stereo,cpx-mp2100, in my vt commodore, today I put in a sub, everything was going good. The main wiring harness is an adapter plug from repco, when I cut the rear wires for the back speakers I was about to install the kenwood stereo came up with this 'PROTECTED' flashing up on the screen? How do I fix that ? Please Help.

Make sure you have no speaker wires touching each other or are grounding out, then press the reset switch. The reset switch should be a small depression about the size of a pen tip on the face and will not be marked. If there is no reset switch, disconnect power to the radio for a few minutes.
