LAUSANNE CD30 - Cd Error

Hey there,
My Blaupunkt LAUSANNE CD30 Cd player in my car will not play CD's, radio works just fine but whenever I put a CD in I just get a "CD Error" message, I even put a lens cleaning CD into it and got the same message. Any help would be greatly appreicated as I am clueless.

aftermarket cd cleaners do not work very well. you may have a dirty lens, or the laser assembly may be bad. there are also several other problems that have the same symptoms. if you can remove the stereo and remove the top of the radio, you can clean the lens using a qtip and rubbing alcohol. otherwise i would advise you have it cleaned professionally.
