There is a memory wire on the back of the unit. It is usually yellow or blue depending on which brand you have. Most of the time it's tagged with "mem". This needs to be hooked to a constant power source. The sources we use for constant power are : Hazard lights, interior light, brake light, headlight. If you unsure of what you are doing splice the memory wire into your hazard lights. It's the easiest way.

This is needed for memory, your head unit needs constant power to remember your settings and station locs.
