Removable front panel Sign In

i have got a jvc KD-LH401 the stereo worked ok till last week but it has now stopped working fully Shocked it still works but no display,no volume control, stuck on cd & can not take cd out.But today i messed about with it and if i hold down the right hand corner of the control panel it is fully functional . so is there anyway you can make the Removable front panel a tighter fit to the head unit

Re: Removable front panel Sign In

That's something you would have to look at and see how it connects....

More that likely the catches have worn and it's not seating fully anymore & would need a new face plate. If it was mine I would probably see it there was a way I could wedge a piece of paper or something between the faceplate & solid object that would hold the faceplate in place & just leave the plate on.

It would be less secure this way so if you have always been taking the plate off I would probably try to rig something that is easy to put into place so you can continue to remove the plate......

you can try using qtips and rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts on the face and subpanel of the radio. using a pencil eraser might do the trick also.
