1996

I am trying to replace the speakers in my yukon, but I don't know how to remove the door panels without breaking them. Any help would be appreciated.

Good one Hammer. ExEvolution - Just a suggestion while in there: Lube (WD-40 + spray white lube will do) mechanical moving parts while in there especially back side of door latches as you can't effectively do that with panel on. Make sure plastic is nice and tightly replaced or you'll get a nice draft thru door handleMad

They make tools to help pop just zip grabbers shown in pic. This should have a rubber flap on bottom you can get to even with panel on - lift it up to see condition. That just pops off too and a good time to scrape it down and rust-proof it, get muck and junk out.

With panel off, vacuum out junk or anything that could plug the drain holes. Just WD-40 will slow down lower inside rust if any.

If anything breaks - parts outlets should have replacement clips and things.

Lube door hinges which you can do with panel on. Take a look at those - they are welded on! Big bucks when those fail if not just the pins and bushings.

This is all doable and if panel resists there's something you missed so don't force it. This one is not the worst one out there,

T
