back speakers not working, help!?!	Sign In

well, i just got a 98 jeep cherokee, and it supposedley has "premium sound" speakers. the front speakers sound great, but the back speakers do not work at all. could any one tell me what might be wrong?

Could be anything? You need to eliminate a few things 1st.

Are the wires hooked into the speakers?
If you put fader to back speakers only, do you get anything?

I would removed one of the back speakers and hook it to your home stereo for a sound test. If the speaker works then you can identify it as wiring. Get a circuit tester and put on the bare wires where you removed speakers while stereo is on, does it light up?
