Does this have a cd player or tape player? If so, if you use the CD player or tape player, does the crackling noise occur? Does it only occur when playing the radio or happens on certain stations? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

My first guess would be bad solder connections in the deck. They probably make better contact as the radio gets warmer. Unless you are good at soldering, I would suggest you take the radio to a repairman or replace the deck.

It seems that you have loose contacts in either the input and output connections. If the connections are secured, well then call an electronic technician to have your stereo checked and be repaired.
