#1 - You would follow instructions on an aftermarket something of the sort and its requirements and other specifications that should be included with it.

You asked just how to get thru firewall with a wire in another post. That alone you could look for an unused existing rubber plug or sometimes can double use a grommet sealed speedometer cable rubber and hole if it's just right.

I don't suggest any of this really. If you need more power than what is commonly inside at the fuse box you are just asking for a lot of problems or should seek professional installation that doesn't harm anything else in the car to do this.

When you buy things of the sort you should be aware of what it requires all around then find out what can be or can't be used with a plain adaptor plug to existing fused wiring or what. Can't know what you bought and what you'll need as they would all be different in some way. Just make sure you don't mess up the car's wiring and do fuse everything properly plus if wires all over the place put in harnesses out of harm's way. Would go for any such aftermarket stuff,

Well - If you have to make a hole for what you want just find the best spot away from hazards and make the hole. They make rubber grommets to fit a given size hole to protect wiring and seal as well.

Double check that all hot, moving parts other things are not in the way on either side and hidden nicely as well.

It all matters. Use automotive grade products that tolerate the extremes including oil resistance. Solder any connections/splices and shrink wrap over the splice.

Know the load and car's ability to handle it now not later. I'm surprised there isn't a blank spot inside already for an accessory to use that also will shut off with the car being shut off or make up a relay that is only empowered when key is to "run" position.

These things should come with instructions and specifications. You have to find out if the car can handle it as in charging system is up to powering this thing.

Some of this and other things people want are quite invasive to the vehicle and some might be too much for it or not enough room depending on just what and how much,
