My passenger side brake lights (both top and bottom) keep going out. I have replaced both the bulb and the socket, but still no love for me. Could a fuse effect just the one side? And if so, Which fuse? Please help me! foxyfoxy2424 foxyfoxy2424

Try putting the bulbs from the working side on the side giving you trouble. Actually just try one. A fuse should NOT be selective to one side or the other. Strange but keep at it, Tom

Tom good idea, This way at least you could see if it's bad bulbs or trouble with the passenger side of the car. Then at least you could know to look for a loose wire or a short.

I had the same problem in my 86 Accord. Turned out that there was about an inch and a half of water in the bottom of the lens assembly. The bulbs were in contact with it, and when I stepped on the brakes, the cold water caused the glass to break. I removed the lens assembly and drained it, cleaned the gasket real well and applied some sealant to it, and reassembled. No more broken bulbs. Good luck. --- Steve
