ok so we went to the store and everything was fine, i went to lock the doors, and i had no lock or unlock at my switch on the drivers door. so i was like wtf. went in got our liquor and left. then they worked. and the passenger side was good both times. then i go to the party, go in and drink for the night and we get ready to leave, i have my girl start the truck, and drive me home. we get out of the parking lot and she says the headlights dont work. i jump out and look. we have no headlights but parking lamps are good and working. so i check the 40A fuse in the block under the hood for headlights and it looked ok, well i dont trust the look test so i swap it with another 40A under the hood and nothing. then we checked the fuses under the dash. couldnt see it was raining so we gave up and stayed the night. then this morning i jumped in the thing and fired it up, started driving, and noticed the voltmeter was at about 11-10, or the "N" of normal if you will. and the battery charge idiot light was on. what the hell. the locks are good now, and the headlights dont work and the damn charge light is with low voltage at idle and driving speeds. btw i have a 1991 eddie bauer with 4.0L 2 door relays? fuses? fuseable link? idk i cant think of why it would do this.... also the high beams work when the switch is pulled and the wiper/signal arm is pushed. the fuses all checked out ok. i dont understand the charging light on and the 10 - 11 volts on the gauge, normally i at a healthy 14....help guys. thanks
