Next - do the DRLs work? Some are just using the low beam of the headlight bulb and being on all the time would burn out first. GM was switching styles of headlight around then by the year so if yours uses one bulb with two filiments to serve as both high and low beam and DRLs don't work it probably just needs new bulbs. Even if it's a dedicated low beam bulb for both DRL and low it could be just those bulbs and high beam bulb could be fine for a while longer. Quite predicatably headlamps last "X" amount of hours and if the same age it's not unusual for both to go within a week or two of each other unnoticed perhaps by you Other tests if you wish is to check for voltage at the bulb socket. If it's realy confusing try taking the DRL fuse out and see if headlights then work manually as they should, T jaybull13 New User Jun 20, 2008, 5:30 PM Post #3 of 4 (5001 views) Re: 1995 Chevy Blazer Headlight Problem Sign In It is a S10, the DRL does work, I have pull the DRL Fuse out and they still do not turn on. I have located the lighting relay in the glove box and pull it out I have headlights but the passenger side is normal brightness but the driver side is really dim. AS well these are the 2 filament style lamps. That's what I'm reading into this anyhow. Ok - that suggests with the two filiment bulbs one filiment is the running light and low beam and the other is high beam. I think there's a weak ground or weak connection - only enough for one side. Just now looked at a 97 Full Size C/K with sealed beams but should be the same idea. Driver's side plug to bulb doubled up wires such that it fed passenger's side. By flashlight - blue, orange, red - that's it. (it was dark so colors may be off some) One of those is dedicated to low beam, high beam and one always ground - didn't test just know. Check the plug itself on your drivers side and contact with the bulbs contacts right there. Just unplugging it and putting it back may work. It's probably dirty or corroded - use some WD-40 on the contacts and install and see if that solves it and do that to both if you unplug them anyway. That's probably all that's wrong.
