I have a 1997 Z71 Silverado with headlight problems. I have checked the headlights themselves, those are OK. I have tested the headlight switch (power going in and power going out), OK. Would the problem be the daytime running lights module? Where is this located?

No power to the high beam headlights. I went back to the switch, I have power going in and power going out. The only lights I have working is my daytime running lights, when I switch on the headlights the daytime running lights go out and I have no lights at all, high beam and lo beam. When the headlights are on, there is no power going to the high beam lights, or lo beam. All of my other lights work (blinkers, break lights, etc).

You need to test for power at the yellow wire going into the dimmer/combo switch and see if it has power with the headlights on. If it does, then you likely have a bad combo switch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
