i have a 1998 ford contour v6 five spd. it died in the middle of the road and i had it towed home. the problem seems to be coming from the anti theft circuit i replaced the -pcm, key, transponder, and the pats module.from an identical car from the junk yard. no help. i get flashing code of 1-6 from the led light on the dash board. my only thought is that i must have a broken wire somewhere between the pats unit and the pcm. i have also been told that either the crankshaft or the camshaft position sensor might cause the no start, but i do not have any obdii codes coming up.i hope you can help. thanks. steve

Steve; You need to check to see if you are having: 1)spark to the plugs during crank, and 2) if you have fuel pressure. A noid light installed in one of the injector connectors during crank would give us another clue. Loren SW Washington
