2001 CHRYSLER LHS 3.5 120000 I had my windshield replaced. Everything worked well before the windshield was replaced. After the windshield was installed, my radio doesn't turn on. My additional clock isn't working, I have to reset the a.c. everytime I get in, the interior lights don't work, the bell doesn't ring when I open the door, my power locks don't work, and my trunk button doesn't open the trunk.

The body control module (BCM) is down for some reason. The BCM controls all those thing you listed that aren't working. To verify the BCM is down, you need a high end scan tool to see if you can interface it or not. If you can't interface the BCM, then power and grounds have to be checked at the BCM connectors. Can't figure out why changing the windshield would cause the BCM to go out. Maybe just a coincidence? Unless it has something to do with the rear view mirror harness...maybe pinched or grounded a hot wire and blew a fuse out??? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Check the 10 amp fuse #14 in the junction block. It is probably blown. That powers the day/night rear view mirror and the BCM. Inspect the rear view mirror harness and make sure it isn't damaged. Thank you so much for your reply. One more question. Where is the body control module (bcm) located? Is the 10 amp fuse #14 in the junction block in the normal fuse box area on the side of the dash board (on the inside of the door)? I think you are correct it may just be a coincidence. The windshield repair guy check the wiring on the side of the inside panel by the windshield and it was ok. They had to remove some glue from that wiring but the wires were not damaged.

As DS suggested check the fuse first and wait for any other problem if it's good. Use a real test light and if unsure where #14 is check them all with the light. ~$5.00 bucks for an LED test light from Wally world as good as any IMO. Basic look is like this pic which will expire..... When items should be working the fuse will light the handle. If one is bad it will only light on one side so that one needs replacing and if it blow right away then there's more to look into. Good luck, T

My 2 cents One dealer i was at ,the used car dept would have one of the Cheapo windshield installers come out and put in windshields, usually used ones... This guy was a Hack..... They normally take a piece of wire attacted at each end to an old seat belt and pull it back and forth thru the windshield seal area all the way around to free the glass..at least thats how he always did it.... He always or at least 90 % of the time cut thru and/or skinned the insulation of the wiring harness along the top edge of the headliner to the mirrors and/or vanity lighting. Of course the fuse(s) blew...so have them check or you check the wiring up at the top of the windshield

I purchased a fuse tester and tested #14 and the lights lit up just fine. I could not open the picture that was provided. What do I need to do next? Is the BCM something I can change myself. Is this a dealer part?
