2001 Focus won't start

Year: 2001 Make: Ford Model: Focus ZTS Sedan Engine: 2.0 L 4 Cyl Mileage: 76,000 Issue: Took vehicle into Jiffy Lube yesterday after work. Got oil, transmission fluid, radiator, air filter, and radiator work done. Drove straight home afterwards and parked it for the night. This morning the car would not start. I concluded that the battery was working because the interior lights worked, but turning the ignition caused the lights--and everything else-- to turn off. So I opened the hood and found a bunch of battery acid on the terminal, some of which has started eating through the cables. I unhooked the battery, cleaned off most of the crap and hooked it back up. After that, the car is now able to turn on, lights stay on, radio works, but engine still will not start, and my electronic mileage reader is blank. Is this the result of the battery acid? This was my first guess, since the cables have begun to corrode, but the battery turns on just fine, so I wasn't sure. Another guess I had was the the guys at Jiffy Lube accidently loosened a ground connection or something else while they were working, but I am afraid of getting ripped off at a repair shop, so I hoped I could get some tips online beforehand. Thank you in advance! Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely your going to have to replace the cables. Plus , if the battery is gassing that bad you need to replace battery and have charging system tested. The guys doing the oil change should have picked up on this in a JIFFY.(pun intended) LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
