The type you have connects right the push rod so you have to have installed something wrong. Just the pressure of the brake pedal activates this switch. Make sure nothing is pulling on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

There is a special tool to remove the terminals from the plug and if you need to replace one, you not only have to find the right terminal but you need special crimpers also.

Do you mean the terminal came out of the connector? Can you take a picture of the connector? Close up is preferable. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

You may have to use a pick to tighten the contacts in the plug.

Depends on the style of connector. Sometimes you can adjust the terminal tension using a small sewing needle and sometimes you have to take the terminal out of the connector body to adjust the tang. Skip to 5 minutes in the video to see how this style of connector can be retensioned. You'll get the basic idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8sBg7kMbOw Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Sorry don't have a video on taking the connector apart. If you take a pic of it, might be able to give you some advice on how to get it apart. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
