Year of vehicle - 2004 Make of vehicle - Chevrolet Model of vehicle - Tahoe Mileage - 200,000 Not always, but more frequently with every passing day, when I start the engine the needles (gas gauge, temp., battery, etc.) simply remain dead. Even the speedometer and RPM don't move after I start rolling. Then, sometimes right away and sometimes after a few minutes, all of the needles become alive. Another worrisome happening is that sometimes the darn thing won't start unless I press the gas pedal to the floor and hold it there.

They have a lot of issues with the dash clusters on these. You will need a professional level, bidirectional scan tool to be able to test it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
