MY MOUNTAINERR'S PLUG WHERE YOU PLUG IN YOUR CELL PHONE OR DVD PLAYER IS NOT WORKING. WE HAD A DEFECTIVE PLUG IN THAT WE THINK MESSED IT UP BECAUSE WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN OUR OTHER CAR. WE DON'T HAVE A MANUEL FOR THE MOUNTAINEER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT FUSES DO WHAT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS

Do you mean a cigarette lighter type power port? If you have a device that screws them up check the plug on it. They are replacable at either end and many have fuses in the plug end, T PS: If it's a possibility - check for a coin or something that got in the port as that will pop the car's fuse right away

YES, I DID MEAN THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER POWER PORT. I COULDN'T THINK OF THE NAME. THERE WAS ACTUALLY A PENNY IN THERE, NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT. MY HUSBAND DOESN'T KNOW WHICH FUSE IT IS, HOWEVER, WE DON'T HAVE ANY WAY TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE IT IS.

If an owner's manual or a cover to the fuses doesn't say just test both sides of the fuses. Some will not light up at all but the cigarette lighter should have power all the time. When you find one with power to one side and not the other that's it. I believe the car has spares already there. Leave that fuse out while you remove the penny T

Go to www.fleet.ford.com and then click on maintenance tab. Click on owners manual, and enter information. When manual comes up, go to roadside emergencies and scroll down until you see the fuse panels. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
