2003 Cavalier randomly quitting Sign In

I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier with 160,000 miles on it. It gives me problems starting. It will make clicking and buzzing noises in the driver's side dashboard area when it's not going to start. It will also randomly shut off on me when I'm driving, whether I'm backing out the driveway or doing 70 down the freeway. When it shuts down the gauges and lights in the dash stay on, only the speedometer drops to 0 ... as if I were standing still with my key turned so only my battery is on. It had orginally only done it in winter but will now do it at any time of day, under any weather conditions (rain, heat, snow, doesn't matter). I have had the fuel pump replaced twice and the fuse block replaced as well. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks!

your problem sounds like a simple bad battery. the reason it used to only happen in the winter and cold weather is because the cold cranking amps were not sufficient to start the car. go to autozone and have them check your battery they can confirm wether it is or is not good.
