My Son has a 2003 S-10 Pickup w/4 cyl engine. 2 wheel drive. This truck is Blowing the EMC I 14 amp fuse which is needed to operate the fuel relay to the pump. Try to make a long story short here>> The truck quit running and thought the fuel pump went out but at the time wasn't the problem. Being a decent Shadetree Mechanic myself and sence Son had some coverage on his truck we decided to take it to a shop to be fix. (Automotive in and out Repair. He found the fuelpump plug to be bruned out so to speak and replaced it with a new one. Truck ran good for a few days and blew the 14 amp fuse, We put a new one in only for it to blow. Then we put a 20 amp in place of the 14 and it blew. So we loaded it up took it back to the Mechanic and explain what was going on and he said sounded as the pump went out. So left it and got it back a couple of days later and the Mechanic said he found nothing wrong and had replace the 14 amp fuse with a 30 amp and said to run it. Well common sence tells u something wrong so told son to be careful and not to drive nomore than he actualy had too till I could do something. Wellll 3 hours later it blew the 30 amp and now will not run on any fuse, even with the pump unplug it blows them. I have changed the Fuelpump with a new one from Oreillys but this is not my trouble. Why is this ECM I fuse blowing and where could the dead short be as the wires from the pump all the way up to the fuse block seems to be in good shape with no breaks or bare wires or kinks. Also I do not have a wireing digram for this truck or a book and was looking for some quick help on here first. Any help will be excepted and Thanks in advance, And IFFF no help Thanks anyways for the time for reading this,,,,,,,,,,,,,JOHN

Arggh! Overfusing is a terrible idea! Now with double the amp fuse blowing you just know it burned up at a weaker link where some short or fault is now to be found.

Now this will probably be a wire chase down to what and where the real cause is,
