2003 VW Jetta Loss of Power Sign In

Hello,

Hoping someone might have some advice here. Yesterday it rained like hell here. I replaced the alternator & battery in my 2003 VW Jetta 2 months ago. It was running great until yesterday. I noticed while driving on the highway my dash lights seemed dim. Then several warnings appeared on the dash and the car slowly lost all power over the next 30 seconds or so. I pulled over, and just as I rolled to a stop I stepped on the gas and it came back to life! After driving another 30 minutes (on backroads) it happened again. This time it's completely dead. I boosted it twice but the car dies after a minute or so. I suspect the alternator. Something got wet? Anyone?

Thanks

Check the connection of the main power wire at the alternator and the other end at the battery or the fuse box

Battery still dead? Charge it up NOW or no tests will prove much,
