Installed a reman alternator on a 2004 Ford Taurus 3.0 DOHC and now it works for a few seconds then quits, then works then quits. I have a good connection from the battery to the alternator, belt tension is correct and pcm is working fine. Please help getting frustrated!

? Did you test the old one and what happened to it?
Other is possible that the car's OE connector is fried? Take a plain look has it been too hot? Internal regulator it says for this should be new - no telling for real or what reman really did if it worked for a second out the door it went could be defective have that one bench tested.

Plugs once lousy did get too hot and fail either no charge, overcharge and get things really hot. Battery must also be known good, fully charged to do a replacement or can work both too hard right away.

Plug should look like this.........

Another $10 bucks or so if you do, do that properly with solder and shrink wrap well where spliced,

Could be a defective alternator. Seen a lot of that on Fords, so we stick with Motorcraft OEM alternators.
