So from the beginning I came to the shop after work found my battery dead got it charged realized brake lights were stuck on. next day changed the switch Still stuck on but would stay off if I pulled up on pedal. now truck won't shut off with key I have to pull fp relay and kill it but with ignition off I still have power to my blinkers and I do have a evap code so my check engine light is on that stays on with ignition off as well if I unplug the brake light switch truck will shut off with key like it's supposed to and I don't have the blinkers and engine light with ignition off does it with old and new brake light switch

This truck uses a different type of brake light switch and they are a bit tricky to install correctly. It sounds like there may be a problem with the new switch. There are also different switches for trucks with adjustable pedals and fixed pedals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
