Yes, there is a small vent tube that connects to the battery, so you need the battery meant for the car. Even without venting concerns, you should always try to replace with a direct replacement meant for the vehicle. ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... Yes, any battery mounted within the cabin walls has to be vented to the exterior. Battery applications are identified by a group size. The group size for your battery is 90/T5. Regardless of what brand you by the group size will be the same. That is the one that meets all the specs for your vehicle, including the venting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You want to put the correct battery in there no matter which brand. The grouping is 90 series. It probably also has venting tubes to connect to the battery, so you don't have hydrogen building up in the trunk or acid eating up everything. edit: GC and HT your fast... I kind of laughed because I thought of that game Jeopardy where the contestants have to buzzer in first to answer the questions. GC won the daily double. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
