2005 Toyota Matrix...no crank/no start

vehicle stalled within 2 minutes of travel. battery is brand new, fuses visibly normal. have headlights, dome light and horn. no dash lights or gauges. attempt to start is met with silence,,any suggestions?

Do you have a code reader? If so, does it communicate with the engine ecu. Do you have a volt meter and know how to test electrical circuits? Any repairs or mods done prior to the issue?
