2006 Honda CRV 2.4 Automatic Transmission. 200k km Hi folks, Few problems with my car: LONG STARTING HARD STARTING. Taillight relay was 3 HOT from the socket now it's 2 HOT, keys off, dimmer off !! All this happened when i wanted to change the small bulb in the hazard light switch, there was positive and negative contact. The dimmer was on parking position, , almost all the lights in the dashboard, except the speedometer, went off. I checked the board of the cluster it was fried so i changed with 02 EX CRV, worked fine. & Changed the fuse box ( multiplex control unit) under the dash. & checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood with test light all are fine. NOTE: PIN 86, IN TAILLIGHT RELAY, NOW IS 0.00 AND BEFORE WAS GIVING ME VOLTAGE!! I CHANGED THE DASHBOARD CLUSTER ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON. Things fixed after changing the cluster are: 1-Radio light came back to normal function. 2-Dashboard lights came back functioning again. 3-Climate control light came back functioning again. 4- Hazard light switch small bulb indicator came back operating. 5- All other light now working fine even the tail light after fixing the cut wire between the relay and terminal of the taillight. NOW THE CAR HAS LONG CRANKING OR LAZY START UP AFTER THIS!! I can upload few diagrams if someone can read them. ANY HELP APPRECIATED S.M

For the life of me I can't follow your question. Your title says you are looking for a long cranking problem but all you are talking about is lights and not making much sense there either. You might know what you are trying to say but I sure don't. I understand your test results but i have no idea what you are testing for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Sorry if i didn't make it clear to you or anybody's else. I was testing the relays and fuses for voltage draw, as i was suspecting that the problem with long starting could be the battery drainage or something, while the car in sleep mode. I tested the battery, alternator on and off , the battery is fine the alternator is fine. MY PROBLEM NOW IS LONG STARTING COULD BE THAT RELATED TO THE ECU AFTER THE THE CONNECTION OF THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE TERMINALS OF THE HAZARD LIGHT SWITCH BULB.. Board fried or something so the ecu started misbehaving?? I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS ACTUALLY. What could make the relay before to give 3 hot and now 2 hot? What can cause long starting as i didn't have this problem before and now just started after this mess up? THANKS FOR THE REPLY S.M

You still make no sense. WHAT relay are you testing? Are you testing with the relay plugged in or not? You certainly are not testing for a voltage draw that way. Stop worrying about lights and relays for the moment. Use a fuel pressure gauge and see what the fuel pressure is doing during this long cranking.

I CHECKED THE SOCKET OF THE TAILLIGHT'S RELAY WITH NO RELAY ON.. I'M TESTING THE CIRCUIT IF THERE ARE ANY SHORTAGES. S.M
