2008 Jeep Liberty, 3.7 L V6, over 129k miles right now.

Turned on the car to go to work, battery warning light came on and it was initially sluggish to accelerate before operating normally. As I approached work (maybe a 10 minute drive), I saw the ABS and ESC flash a few times, then the clock radio turned off. Then I got the whole Christmas tree going and a rotten egg smell. Managed to park it just in time before the whole thing died. I'm working on jumping it and getting it to my mechanic (about a 5 minute drive) here shortly but that sounds like the alternator went maybe, am I right? Serpentine belt looks fine.

I deleted your picture as it was way too large and made the thread too hard to read. Please reduce the size if you want to repost it.

Yes, an alternator is a possibility. The first thing you have to do is recharge the battery and then have the system tested. Simply jump starting the car will not work if the alternator is the problem. Also, be very careful jumping it with another car as you can easily fry the alternator of the donor car. Use a jump box or a battery charger to be safe.

Thank you. Sorry about the photo. I have roadside service so I may just end up having them take it up to him instead.

Yes, just don't let them sell you a battery on the side of the road that you may not need. They are notorious for that.
