2011 Nissan Altima starting problem

I am completely a novice when it comes to working on vehicles. I know just a little more than nothing, hence why I’m here. Here’s the problem: I have a 2011 Nissan Altima. A while back I went for a drive, everything was working fine. I remembered I forgot something at home so I turned around and went home to get it. Killed the car out, went outside, and when I came back out I could not get the car to crank even though it was functioning perfectly (to my knowledge anyways) a few minutes earlier. I have a push to start button that cranks the car. When I sit down in my car and simply hit the Start button without pressing the brake, the battery appears to be fine. My dashboard lights up with it saying “Brake” (to let me know to press the brake to crank). It starts making the dinging noise that alerts you that you’ve pressed the button. The radio comes on with no issue, the dashboard lights up, etc. All of that is to say that before I press, everything seems to be fine. However, when I press the brake and try cranking the car, that’s when the problem occurs. Sometimes as soon as I press the brake the dinging noise will stop and the dashboard will go black. Other times I am able to press the brake and keep the dinging noise going and the dashboard lit up, but when I try to crank the car it makes this distinct sound that I’m not sure how to explain. But it’ll kinda “zap” a couple times and go off. I know that’s not the best explanation. I wish it was possible to post a video of me doing this. It seems to a complete novice as myself that this could be a wiring issue or a fuse issue? Could it be a bad battery although it appears to be fine until I try cranking it pressing on the brake? Is there someone out there willing to let me send a video of what it’s doing? Any help would be much appreciated!
