78' CHEVY 350 ALTERNATOR QUESTION

THERE IS ONE WIRE ON THE BACK OF THE ALTERNATOR WITH A NUT ATTACHING IT..AND THEN AND THEN ANOTHER TWO THAT ATTACH TO THE SIDE OF THE ALTERNATOR VIA A CLIP.. I HAVE TO RERUN THESE WIRES FROM THE ALTERNATOR TO THE BATTERY ..CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A FEW TIPS ON WHAT WIRE GOES TO HOT/GROUND, POSITIVE/NEGATIVE ON THE BATTERY PLEASE

If you can't indentify the battery cable connected to the alernator output lug, I think you need to take it to a shop or have someone that has a wiring diagram and knows how to properly service and repair charging system components take a look at it. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
