87 S-10 wiring issue

Need some help please!
I'm installing a new cd receiver in my 87' s-10 that was never equipped with a radio from the factory. My biggest problem is trying to find a switched power for the receiver. I already have the constant power and the ground, and already ran the wire for speakers in the dash and behind the seat. Already installed the antenna also but have not the slightest clue on which of the many wires are switched power in the dash. I haven't tested them yet but thought that maybe someone already knows.

There should be auxiliary terminals in the fuse panel that should be key powered. Get yourself a test light, turn the keys to the run position and probe the empty terminals. When you find one that lights the test light, turn the keys off and see if the light goes out.
You don’t need a wiring diagram to figure this out. Have fun.

You may also need constant power to one wire if the unit you bought has a clock, and may lose preset stations and you can find that the same way Dan mentioned. Good luck,

Just make sure it's fused and unless it's some monster powered new radio you should be all set,

It's all good now! I ended up with more problems than when I started this project. This was the first and last time I will ever attempt to put a stereo in a vehicle that is not equipped to do so. First off I had to jerry-rig a mount for the radio surround to mount to the dash. I ended up using my soildering iron to plastic weld the damn thing to the dash. It worked great though. Next, I took the speaker grills out of the dash, and attached to the grills was a piece of thin plastic so that dust would not fall into the inside of the dash. This means that there were absolutely no way of mounting any speakers in the dash so I used plywood for that. And a standard truck box with 2 eights in the back. Sounds great!!!! Thanks for the wiring help guys!!
