88 celebrity charging system

Hi
Hope someone can help
I have an 88 chevy celebrity- less than 50000 original miles. This really belonged to an old Jewish lady. Everything is original
My charging light came on last week. I had battery and altinator tested. The battery had to be replaced. The altinator isn't 100% but was told it was fine.
After replacing the battery, the light went out,for a day. Now its back on.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

There is a Diode Trio that can allow your alternator to charge but not up to par. They aren't that expensive to just replace the whole thing for a good rebuilt. Not practical to replace just that part.
Amusing - the age and ethnicity of the car's prior owner really don't have anything to do with it, :-),
