I have a 89 blazer S10 with the big 6 cyc with a rebuilt engine with 10,000 miles that was installed before I owned it, and there is an electrical problem. When I turn my head lights on the gauges on my instrument panel drop (gas, oil & battery) and the temperature gauge goes up. If that's not enough, when I turn my radio on the same things happens and the radio shuts off if the volume is turned up to a certain point. If that's not enough, when I unplug my radio power or antenna for the radio (one or the other or both) the light on my instrument panel goes off, and my blinker lights (just on the instrument panel) stay solid and the "bright" head light indicator reverses so it comes on when the brights are off and goes off when they are on. I bought the truck this way :( Other than the electrical the truck runs great. This problem doesn't seem to effect the engine or other components besides the ones I have listed.

With all that happening I'd test this with adding ground to instument cluster KNOWN ground areas jumped with like above wire to KNOWN body ground as a test. Best some things snap into order and that a main connection is lacking ground somewhere?? If everything just works when jumped you could add and extra ground wire - metal to metal stuff - don't be cutting into wiring, T
