Don't debate with me about this. Installing a passenger airbag would entail replacing the entire dash, the airbag module, the seat belts and likely the whole interior wiring harness. It's totally impractical.

I don't remember seeing one of those lit? Did say off thread I never saw that and didn't think Merc. did that the next model year did negotiate (used to do that too) thru a Lincoln/Mercury dealer new or fresh cream puff trades that dealer didn't keep any trades over 3-4 years or 60,000 miles - just policy of that one wholesaled off some real nice cars for dirt,

I'm starting to wonder just what he is saying. I understood him to say the previous owner added the features after purchasing the car which is nearly impossible.
I'm thinking now he might be trying to say they were factory features he ordered on the car.
It also appears I was wrong about the grill. It appears it does light up.

Good find - a pic of them! Mercury (the division) did some whacked stuff this is a first to see for me them lit!
I'd have guessed not as too many people would think a UFO was following them or something, Tom

Here's the build sheet, just to clarify... These were added options when the car was custom ordered by the prev owner...

Of course that makes sense but when you first talked about this you stated the previous owner added these features. That makes it sound like he added them after purchasing the car which would be next to impossible. In reality he purchased them as an optional feature from the manufacturer.
I guess it's all in the terminology.
