i know i've said this before on other issues, but it sounds like a ground problem. I've seen more funky things happen, all caused by bad grounds.

You can't just blame grounds for everything. This doesn't sounds like a ground problem at all. it sounds more like a module that's wigging out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I thought maybe a ground because i've seen were a bad ground would cause modules and switches to back feed to try to find a ground and do some weird things. also i thought it was easier to look for something like a bad ground first, especially on a older vehicle like this where everything isnt controled by a BCM
